Large retail stores, John Lewis and Next, have both just released details of their Christmas sales figures, and if we can learn anything from them it's that consumers are turning to the web.

Both stores showed increases in online sales over the Christmas period, with John Lewis posting an increase of 20%. Surprisingly Next revealed that the number of people buying from their physical stores actually decreased which reveals a large shift in consumer buying trends.
